Graham and Jeff lead a small team in the drizzle in Cheddar today, meeting people on the Upper New Road and the areas nearby, including Littlewood Way, Round Oak Road and Round Oak Grove.

Issues on the doorstep included road safety, access to amenities and the new housing development planned between Upper New Road and Axbridge Road.

Graham says, "We are concerned that developers seem to want to join up Cheddar and Axbridge into one urban sprawl, which will destroy the unique character of our communities, as well as increase pressure on the roads and limit access to services and amenities still further.

"If elected, we will argue that the Cheddar Valley has had its fair share of large new developments."
